90-Day Study Plan for RBI Grade B – A Structured Approach

For RBI | 4 min read

For RBI Grade B aspirants who have already covered the basics of Quant, Reasoning, and English (QRE) and are looking for an efficient revision plan, a structured 90-day study strategy can be highly effective.

Who Should Follow This Plan?

  • Candidates who have basic proficiency in QRE and only need revision.
  • Non-working aspirants who can commit at least 6 hours per day to preparation.
  • Those looking to focus on high-weightage topics while minimizing time spent on less relevant areas.

Study Plan Overview

  • Finance or ESI – Study one of these daily.
  • Management – Study every day.
  • Current Affairs – Daily reading and note-making.
  • QRE Practice – One topic daily.

Weightage and Question Trends

  • Finance (50 Marks) – Includes 25 marks static finance and 25 marks management. Most questions are conceptual, with minimal focus on static content.
  • Economic & Social Issues (ESI) (50 Marks) – Key areas include:
  1. National Income
  2. Sustainable Development & Poverty
  3. Unemployment
  4. Five-Year Plans
  5. International Financial Institutions
  6. Questions are often based on RBI Deputy Governors' speeches.
  • Unpredictable Questions – Occasionally, 1-2 questions come from sources like SEBI circulars, but they do not carry significant weightage.

Descriptive Section

Do not rush for descriptive section preparation right from the beginning. Complete the syllabus and stay updated with current affairs. Learn how to incorporate Current Affairs in your answers. The answers that contain factual data usually fetch more marks in the Exam.

Staying updated with RBI’s latest developments and following a structured schedule can significantly improve your preparation.
